Blue Heritage Vase

The cobalt goes on by hand in the blue pottery tradition Khurja is known for, botanical motifs worked around an hourglass body. This is the oldest decorative language in the town and a large part of why the cluster exists at all.

Cobalt on white is unforgiving. The pigment is laid down in one pass and cannot be corrected afterwards, so the linework either holds or the piece is set aside before firing. Buyers looking for a Khurja blue pottery ceramic vase are usually sourcing something with provenance behind it rather than a generic blue vase, and it sells best where that can be explained at the point of sale.

How we make and supply it

Shaped and finished by hand in our Khurja unit, which is why pieces from one run sit close to each other without being identical. Glaze colours can be matched to a brief. Mixed orders across shapes and finishes are welcome, so a first order can spread across the range instead of committing to a single form. Samples go out before the full run.

Looking after it

Every part is ceramic, with no wood or metal to keep back, so it washes like any glazed piece and the dishwasher is fine. The glaze is fired hard, wipes clean, and holds its colour with use.

Ordering and shipping

Quantities are flexible, so tell us what you need and we will quote against it. Packing is specified per order, since a shelf-ready retail carton and an export pallet are not the same job. For buyers outside India we handle the export paperwork in-house.

Who buys it

Most enquiries for this piece come from retailers and gift stores. Tell us the quantities you are working to and we will come back with a quote.

Made by us

This piece is manufactured in our own unit in Khurja rather than bought in. Read how we manufacture and supply vases in bulk, including the forms and glazes currently in production.
